It's Worth Every Penny - Healthy Dog Food Review

By Layla Collins

I thought I would have to drive to nearest pet store (120 mile round trip) to find a corn free dog food. Then I found this brand on Amazon which listed all the ingredients. When I got her home she was so scared and nervous from the strange surroundings. She would not eat or drink and had horrible watery mucous bowel movements.

In fact, my cat loves the new formula even more than the old. She's getting a little fat. I just signed on to reorder and noticed that Amazon increased the price from $41.99 to $55. In theory, there goes free shipping.

They rolled it into the new cost of the food. Now, it is no cheaper for me to purchase it on Amazon since my neighborhood pet store sells it for $54.00 and I don't have to order it 7-10 days ahead just to make sure I get it before our current supply runs out.

My vet thought it must have been something she ate and recommended I feed her chicken and rice for a week to even her out. I did this and the problem was solved. Her coat and skin now are perfect! No more itching, scratching and chewing. Some dogs it is hard to keep weight on them with this food. If you look at the picture and ingredients you'll see that Amazon has a picture AND the ingredients for the formula I received.

I may be the only person who has made the following mistake but, assuming you catch the Amazon sales, make sure you are ordering the bag size you want. I thought I was getting a good price on one order until the food came and it was the seven instead of twelve pound bag. My poodle loves it, but even better, I offered some to my cousin's finicky poodle who "just doesn't eat when she's away from home". She gobbled it right up and asked for more.

All of my dogs are also eating less and maintaining their weight nicely. Less food means less waste in the yard. They gobble it up! I now have it on subscription so we don't run out.

I know a lot of people who cannot afford dog food that is extremely expensive, and yet they don't want to feed cheap fillers or grain based foods. If you are a person on a tight budget Canidae is worth a try.

I know some may think this is cruel, but do you really want food trials done on your pets" That's what Canidae is doing. His doggy breath has never been better. If I could give this food 10 stars I would.
