Ten Household Products That's Dangerous To Your Dogs

By Sam Roxas

Dogs are naturally loving, faithful and well, cute. And most of all, they're extremely big balls of energy- particularly puppies. And even though seeing your dogs running around and wagging their tails is fairly nice to look at, this will also hurt them.

There are numerous perilous things within your own place that may harm your dogs. You do not have to be a scientist or a mental math whiz to work out just how critical it is to be certain that your home is doggy-proofed.

Now, to help with that, I have listed down some household products that are very deadly to puppies and dogs. I have compiled a catalogue of 10 things you'll find at home that can harm your puppies. These things may also be found in Cesar Millan's website.

Folks food

Just because we can eat it does not mean our food is safe for our dog companions. Chocolate contains large amounts of caffeine and theobromine which dogs do not tolerate well.

Rodenticides

Rat and mouse baits are built to be mouth-watering to rodents to help consumption, but sadly, for a similar reason many dogs find these baits appealing as well.

Insecticides

The most typical insecticide that dogs have a tendency to eat is the ant or roach baits. They contain an attractant such as peanut butter or bread which most dogs find appealing.

Human pharmaceuticals

This category includes prescription medicines and over the counter drugs meant for humans. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen are toxic and should not be given to your dog.

Vet pharmaceuticals

Some pills that vets prescribe for dogs are flavored to make them more palatable and allegedly some taste so good that dogs think that they are treats.

Plants

This is more of an issue with moggies but I have seen puppies that chewed on plants and often adult dogs will gnaw on plants when their stomach is troubling them.

Manure

One more reason to keep your dog out of the garden is manure which often smells like food to dogs.

Cleaning products

Many of those products are just as toxic for our dogs as they are to us. Store all cleaning products away when not in use and think about employing natural, organic cleaning solutions as an alternative.

Heavy metals

Zinc and lead are the most common culprits. The commonest reason for zinc toxicosis is digestion of nickels. Dimes minted since 1983 are primarily zinc and some dogs like to ingest coins.

Various chemicals

Antifreeze is terribly sweet and attractive to dogs. They appear drunk after ingesting even small amounts.

Bottom line is, you want to make sure that your cute canine babies will be safe 24/7- so create that environment for them.
