Much more so than just about every other style of small dog fashion I've seen in a very long time, pug clothes have become an absolute magnet of attention. It turns out that we've decided pugs aren't cute enough already with all of those adorable wrinkels and those cute little bodies. Nope. We need to give them a fashion makeover and put them in all sorts of little dog shirts and sweaters! These little clothes for pugs deliver a dosage of cuteness to the bystanding onlooker that could almost be lethal. And when people walk by on their walks with their dogs, and they see you with your fashion pimped-out pup, you are GOING to get some attention!
The pug t-shirts I see on little doggies around the city are almost too much to take in. As a small dog lover and a pug foster, I sometimes have to close my eyes a bit. If I take in too much of the pug clothing cuteness all at once, it's like a cuteness overload and I'm rendered dazed. When you dress up a pug in those adorable shirts for pug dogs, those pug collars you can get them, and the other pug clothing, it's just too cute to handle.
As a small dog owner, I can appreciate why pug people do it. They want their little pugs to look as adorable as possible. I get it. I have chihuahuas puppies myself and I do the same.
But when you're talking about pugs, it really is too much to take. I know that as a pug owner, you eventually get used to how adorable those chubby little pug puppy faces are. And maybe dressing up your pug in pug fashion puts that super cute factor back into the equation for you. But for the people who are not pug owners, seeing a pug all dressed to the nines in cute little pug costumes can be extremely distracting. And when you're driving and you look over and you see a little pug dress up in pug clothes through the side window, that can really create a dangerous situation! Very often, the sight of a fashion pug is so distracting that you can forget you're at the wheel of a moving car!
Or maybe it's just me. I do tend to lean toward the pug clothing nutcase-end of the spectrum. But when it comes to locating and tracking down the latest and greatest clothes for pug dogs, and the other small dog accessories out there, I can find them!
