Dog Lovers Rejoice

By Mike Stevens

Whether or not you have a dog, you must appreciate how they can be really good company. You don't have to be a dog lover or an animal lover to have compassion for the living. Spending hundreds on dollars on a breeder can be a bad mistake. There has been undercover reports of puppy mills that auction of hundreds of dogs.

Animal lovers protest against puppy mills because of their mistreatment to the dogs. It may be true that rescue dogs may have different temperaments, but if you start them off young you can teach them anything. Some of the most popular breeds include golden retrievers, pugs, and even schnauzers. More and more are websites like this miniature schnauzer forums. You can find people of similar interests and dog breed preference online anywhere.

Looking at the attitude of how your dog acts will help you find the perfect dog for you. Know that specific breeds of dogs have specific ways of acting. Take your time and find the dog you want and look at each dog's temperament like the attitude of the dog and see how it fits your life. Not all dogs will fall into the slot of how they act within that breed though. Have fun in the selection of your dog and know that you will have that dog for at least a decade. Your dog will always be happy to see you and it may not seem that long but it will be.

It can help if you start off with some picture of dogs that you like, for example like a golden retriever. If you like a specific breed, you can look at how they look like and see a picture of schnauzer for instance.

If you have a friend with a dog, try dog sitting for a weekend to see how it is. Know that it is likely your friend's dog will be better trained than a new rescue puppy.
